The widget for the monthly schedule was very useful but it’s been removed.
I used to be able to access a widget on my home page which showed a monthly layout of my schedule. I am no longer able to create any widgets for this app.
About a month ago, Amion began sending marketing emails teasing its new interface, which it claimed would be seamless and require no action from users. The new interface rolled out this past week and- though no mention had been made previously- they simultaneously fully disabled both the OnCall app and mobile editing. They also disabled shared admin accounts- again with no warning. My account was transitioned to the sole admin account and all other staff have been transitioned to view-only. They cannot initiate trades amongst themselves anymore, despite that option being verified as enabled in the admin settings. At this point- in addition to my regular clinical/faculty/administrative duties- I must also collect and enter scheduling information for multiple areas that previously maintained their own schedules. I must personally make even the slightest changes to more than 40 people’s clinics schedules AND I must do so 24/7 with access to a PC as mobile editing is no longer enabled. I have sent messages to their support team, which go unanswered. Their troubleshooting/FAQ section- if searched- gives info for the previous interface that is no longer relevant. The only apparent info regarding the new interface requires enrolling in a long series of video “lessons” which appear to be locked until you complete previous lessons. I am quite software savvy and rarely need troubleshooting support- even for a program as glitchy and problematic as Amion. I have neither the time nor the inclination to watch dozens of tutorials in hopes of eventually reaching one that MIGHT contain the information I need. It’s extra frustrating to continue receiving chirpy marketing emails about how excited they are and how much they hope I’m enjoying the new version when they do not respond to support requests for a change that is creating significant unnecessary work for me personally, frustration for my entire staff, and potential delays/disruptions in patient care if schedules cannot be kept accurate due to the lack of basic functions. Since they don’t respond on their official support channels, I doubt they’re checking feedback here, but if someone sees this- please address this immediately. We will be looking for another option for our schedules STAT. Despite the fact we’ve already paid for this service for all of 2025, since they effectively disabled it not even 3 months in without warning.
The recent update has broken the “who is on” schedule. It no longer remembers the department so it has to be selected every time I open the app. I can’t believe an app can be this bad in 2025. The classic web view is still better.
Amion has been the scheduling go-to for my several years of training. Amion has come a long way by transforming the desktop into a seamless app. Looking forward to further improvements at Amion!
The app has made it very convenient for me to view my own schedule and reference my colleagues’ schedules. This has been extremely helpful during my training because my day to day schedule varies a lot.
Amion used to be great - you could logon with one word on any computer and any browser. Now you need to ‘create an account’ so Doximity can have and sell your information in order to use it.
After last app update the default schedule does not stay on. It keeps changing to another hospital schedule view each and every time the app opened. Terribly inconvenient. They release the “update” and call it bug and fixes, however it now causing even more issues and unstable schedule view. Also you can’t use the old version of the app after they release the so called update. They force you to use the latest version of the app, which is worse the prior. If you don’t agree you loose all functionality of the app. Terrible. The app itself appears to be a link to website. If you don’t have internet the app would not work. Also you get frequent drug advertisements popping up when you try to open the app to see your work schedule. Pathetic. I have my schedule for 6 month ahead, but the app does not display many of shifts. You have to open classic view in order to view you your schedule. The app literally gets worse and worse after every update. Can’t wait to quit my job just so I won’t have to use this application ever again.
Used to be great, now barely usable. Get absolutely spammed by shift reminders (roughly 10-12 per shift, often coming in waves 10 minutes apart). Schedule search function often loads cardiology despite not being the one selected, and randomly returns to cardiology when scrolling.
Keeps getting worse with every update. What use is a schedule app if you can’t trust it to correctly show your call schedule!
Had no issues with Amion until recently when clicking “who’s on”, doesn’t show whose on and forces to click classic view default. App was up to date with the latest version but still having same problem
update… not working well…can’t see who’s on , my schedule..
Hi gang, I used to live by this app-the new changes make it unreadable Please fix it!!
Been using Amion for years and love how simple they’ve made the app to view schedules across my org. Great to have one place to view everything. I’ve emailed in ideas as both a chief scheduler and physician reader and their team is incredibly friendly/responsive
The iOS version always seems to be broken. I don’t change any settings and it doesn’t have all my shifts.
Worked really well until recently where I have shifts missing on my personal schedule and the”who’s on” tab is blank, forcing me to go to the classic view to see it. Please fix the bug!
It’s not great. The views are so focused as to be unhelpful and frequently depending upon how often the call schedule is pulled up and how it is pulled up, it will indicate the wrong person on call. Worse than a slip of paper with names on it by far. Just easier for administrators
This app is TERRIBLE
Very unwieldy and difficult to use interface. To do anything requires you to click through multiple screens and open up at least one new window within the app. Much harder to use than the web interface.
Do not like the new update.
Would be great to have the ability to modify schedules on the app itself. Would be great to have dynamic routing within the app or integrated with an EMR Is a simple online scheduling platform. Nothing else.
It used to work well but now the monthly view and the who on call doesn’t work. You have to go though the website in the app.
Doesn’t work in regular mode, only classic. What’s up?!
Valleymed is my code and I can’t even get on. I’ve tried literally every option including license etc
A simple calendar format, showing individuals dates and time for —- works and would be great. This seems overly complicated.
They updated the app so you can only see the schedules of which you are apart. It doesn’t actually provide utility for me if I need to look up, who is on call for a different team to coordinate patient care. Major downgrade.
Unintuitive ways to see yours and colleague’s schedule I’m not able to see who’s on today feature
As a resident transitioning to fellowship I’m a huge fan of the new amion app! While many of my colleagues struggled to use the app before we now all love it. The interface is much more user friendly. Scrolling and identifying your schedule is simple. The yellow dots on the calendar screen easily identify when you’re on call/have days off. It’s super easy now to follow coworkers schedules to propose swaps, etc. Update: UCD cardiology fellowship got rid of amion and replaced it with lightning bolt, and all of my co-fellows complain! Miss how easy the calendar view was to see your schedule and then others’ schedule.
It would be really helpful if different shifts were different colors. It is very challenging to go from schedule anywhere that is very easy to look at and read and utilizes color organization to Amion that does not use color organization when looking at the calendar. I would really love it if you would incorporate this feature into Amion, thank you.
The most frustrating mobile app on my phone 😢
Should to be able to see entire month schedule (classic view) in one view. Having hard time adding coworker schedule to my view for evaluation
I can’t wait until our network switches to the other platform. Amion has become so impractical. I have had to login multiple times on the same station on the same day. It really messes up the work flow.
Not user friendly. Has issues with the interface.
Not pleased when system doesn’t retain schedules that you are signed in for. Had to add a new schedule and it lost the more relevant schedule
Amion app does not seem to update in correlation with the schedule done online. It also translates weird with the evening shifts being placed on top and the morning shifts being placed on the bottom. I would say overall the set up is OK but they need to work on these issues.
Broken
Since the most recent update, the app crashes when trying to access my calendar. Please fix this ASAP.
Why doesn’t it refresh to the current month (i.eJanuary) but keeps sending me back to November of 2023 as default?
Very handy app; nice to be able to see an entire group’s schedule in one place. Like that you can color code colleagues schedules but would love to see the ability to color code your own schedule to easier visualize & pick your own colors not just the stock 10 colors
Took a perfectly simple and functional product for scheduling and ruined it. Ads, get out of here, I’m just trying to look at my schedule
My schedule is sometimes not reflecting the actual schedule on the web Amion
- Constantly missing shifts, inaccurate count of shifts that had been scheduled
hard to log in
In app schedule updates are super delayed!
The app is useless. All it does is provide a link to the classical view of Amion. NONE of the features of the app actually work. The previous versions were much better. And the customer service is even worse. It took me countless emails and months of reminding them to fix a glitch that prevented me from logging on to the site and the app.
The update from months ago does not work…. None of my co residents can get their schedule from the new way on the calendar and has to be the original way so no use for the app …
Amion is supposed to show you schedule. They force show you an ad when you open the app to see the schedule. This nonsense need to stop.
I’m still using the mobile browser because the mobile app is not text searchable. I am not going to scroll through a hundred peope to find the renal fellow when I can use ctrl-f in safari to find it in 5 seconds.
It would be VERY helpful if you had the option to show coworkers on widget. We use it to see who is on call for various teams... if I could see that (like maybe the classic view with the service and staff name... or 2-3 columns bass on the clients set-up) of 10 or so people, THAT would make the widget useful!!! You could allow multiple size widgets for those who need more or less services visible on the widget too.
